Your passion, your life! Do you have the right passion?

The text below was sent to me. I noticed that William Tyndale only pursued the passion that God had placed in his life. And looking at the result, he lived a purposeful life. I believe God has put His passion in each of our hearts too and when we pursue them, our life history will not be empty(as far as God is concerned). When we look at a person's life history, it is easy to see how well or not so well they lived. As a result, we can learn from their mistakes and live a more purposeful life. What came to my mind when I read this story of William Tyndale is: What will my life history look like? will it be remembered for good or will it be insignificant?

We live our short life on this earth thinking this is all we get. But having heard and believed that God the author and the finisher of all mankind is eternal and has made all mankind in same image. All men are eternal including myself and you. So why do we base all our life decisiin on what we can see or think exist on earth or even the universe.

I think this whatsapp mesage spelt very clearly how we live careless lives and ignorant of what happens to our spirit and the soul when our greedy earthly body dies.

Idol worshipper in disguise

The issue of priority was definitely raised in this whatsapp message that i recieved from a friend a whike back. In my recent dealings with the Lord, He has been gracious to me to let me know that "where my heart is, is where my treasure will be also - matt 6:21". However, this is only making much more sense when i started paying attention to my life style. The things i cherish most are the things that I allow to determine my daily schedule. I realised that i was at the mercies of the profit of our business and not leading of God who created me for His glorious appointment in Christ Jesus. God said I will instruct you and teach you along the you should go, I will guide you with my Eye - psalm 32: 8.
